Jet Black Atlas
A truly exotic pattern, this slippery and luxurious fabric has the inherent feel of adventure about it.
The smooth and flowing hand that, when used as a lining, allows the garment to lay against the body without static and slide without resistance is excellent for lining jackets, vests and dresses. It is light weight and silky with a sophistication hard to attain with any other fabric. Perfect for custom tailoring projects such as suits, ties and hats. This fabric could also be used for light upholstery or drapery.
The fabric has a slight sheen to it which the camera does not accurately portray.
This fabric measures 58 inches (147.32 cm) wide with a one inch (2.54 cm) selvage and a 7.5 inch (19.05 cm) repeat. The fabric weight is 90 GSM and the composition is 57% polyester, 43% viscose.
The pattern is jacquard, it is woven into the fabric and not printed. This fabric is not a brocade.
Bearing many similarities to a brocade, jacquards are typically a much lighter weight fabric. Both are woven on similar looms, though brocades are usually used as a heavier outer fabric while jacquards are used for lighter inner linings.
*Fat Quarters available upon request*
